Callaway Cars, Inc.

Dear Reeves,

Thank you for your inquiry about my new Callaway Corvette. About a year and a half ago myself and Roger Runyan (who purchased a Callaway Camaro in November 2011) went to the local Chevy/Callaway dealership here in Michigan to look at vehicles. As we were shopping at the dealership, I fell in love with the Jet Stream Blue Callaway Corvette. Roger and I both agreed that I should purchase the Callaway. However, my beautiful wife of 39 years over ruled us, telling me I was too old for such a fast car. So after much debate I purchased the 2010 Grand Sport and not the Callaway. This Grand Sport Corvette that I purchased was replacing my 2006 Grand Tour Corvette.

Over the next 12 months I started looking at installing a supercharger on my Corvette. I wanted more horsepower despite what my wife said. I purchased and had installed a Pro Charger from a local dealer here in Michigan. Bad decision!!! The unit was excessively loud at idle and run speeds. The ground clearance was lower which caused many other problems. The installing dealer had no answers for my problems. After many attempts to correct the problem, I gave up and began researching Callaway Corvettes again. I actually thought about sending my Corvette to your Connecticut facility and having you install your supercharger.

I went to your web site and found a dealer who had a 2011 Callaway Corvette in the Jet Stream Blue. The dealer was in Illinois. My wife, after listening to me whine like a five year old during this supercharger process, gave me the nod to purchase the Callaway. The car is everything that I wanted and imagined. It’s beautiful!!!! It’s very easy to praise the workmanship of the entire vehicle. Your people who handle the installation and the dealers who sell the Callaway line of Corvettes and Camaros, should be praised. Roger and I look forward to a long term relationship with you and your company.

Warmest regards,
Timothy J. Blackwood
