Callaway AeroWagen™ Package

In the tradition of coach built shooting brakes, Callaway offers the AeroWagen for any version of the C7 Corvette Coupe. Its components can be fitted to the standard production C7, the Callaway SC627 Stingray or Grand Sport, or the Callaway SC757 Z06. The AeroWagen hatch assembly is a part-for-part replacement of the original equipment Corvette rear hatch, using the original hardware and latching mechanisms. It operates in an identical fashion.

Callaway Carbon is the newest Callaway Cars enterprise. Our California factory designs and manufactures structural carbon components for military, medical and aerospace clients. Only premium quality carbon fiber parts are produced: cosmetically exquisite ornamental parts as well as exceptionally strong, ultra-lightweight structural members.

Using technology developed by Callaway Competition – Germany, we also produce the exquisite body parts for Corvettes and Camaros shown here. Quality that you would expect to find in the world’s most exclusive super cars.

Incorporating the form-follows-function principle, Callaway Carbon parts are engineered to improve stability at speed by properly managing airflow surrounding the vehicle. Only the highest quality carbon fiber polymers and a unique coating formulation are used for flawless appearance with superior gloss and unparalleled UV protection. Perfect fiber weave and superior quality clear coat provide superb appearance. These special materials and our proprietary “Callaway RTM Process” allow Callaway to produce the best carbon fiber components available anywhere in the world.

The Callaway RTM Process

Callaway uses a proprietary method for making carbon parts that is a version of Resin Transfer Molding (CallawayRTM) which produces structural carbon skin/foam cored structural components, remarkably, in one step. We use a closed mold and inject the resin under precisely controlled condition of temperature and pressure to achieve a part integrity generally found only in medical and aerospace components. A Class A surface condition is achieved, with all hard points integral, so that the part is removed from the tool “ready to wear”. We use this part as a demonstration of the the process when potential clients visit the Callaway Carbon facility in Santa Ana, California.
