Hi, please excuse my procrastination. I received my 2011 Camaro SS Callaway on 9-3-10. Chevrolet built a fabulous car, and Callaway made it fantastic. It is hibernating now. It had 45 miles on it when I got it , and now has 545 miles. I’m in awe of this car. Come on Spring!
I first heard of Callaway in reading Corvette Fever and Corvette Quarterly. I never dreamed I would own a Callaway car.
My buying experience at Karl Chevrolet, Ankeny, Ia. was very good. They were very helpful in helping me option this car. In driving it home, 35 miles, I heard a low key backfire note in the exhaust that worried me. I took it to Karl’s and they had a mechanic go for a ride with me. When he heard it he smiled and said that is how a Callaway sounds! He put it up on a lift and gave me a tour of the suspension, exhaust and motor changes. He was patient and very informative in helping me understand this car.
Past Cars: 1966 Chevelle SS396, 1970 Chevelle SS396, 2001 Corvette Coupe
Present Cars: 1974 Corvette L-82 T-Top, 1995 Camaro Z-28, 2004 Monte Carlo SS Intimidator
Each of these cars are great for their time and technology, but this Callaway will blow all of their doors off in all aspects.
I can’t imagine what you would do to make the buying experience more enjoyable. I’m well satisfied. Please feel free to use any or all of my comments.
