“Above and Beyond.” That’s how I described my interaction with you to everyone who wanted to talk about Callaway. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate you getting my car ready to roll. The car made a big hit, especially amongst other Corvettes. The exhaust sounds incredible. The badging was perfect and often commented on by the assorted staff, editors and writers at Road and Track. Like I said previously: Make me the guinea pig for the wide body kit. Most importantly, I wanted to thank you. I truly appreciate the work you did and the effort you all made to get the car to me on time. Best… – Stuart |
Loving my 2021 Callaway Colorado, we’ve driven it up and down Baja twice. The truck is awesome! Smooth reliable power that always brings a smile when I punch it! Thanks! – Pete and Justin |
Just a quick note to let you know that I am absolutely thrilled with the Camaro ZL1 that you delivered on Sunday. The driving experience is sensational and the power production is awesome. Thanks for making this a car that exceeds my expectations. – Bob |
22500 miles on my amazing Z06. And still commuting into Manhattan! – Howard |
I could not be more satisfied. The vehicle is better than expected. It looks and sounds fantastic. But the performance and acceleration are exceptional. It’s a delight to have a vehicle of this size and weight that can perform like it does. Thanks to you and your crew. Great job! – Rich |

My Callaway 627 is fast, reliable and beautiful. Sculpted like a Michelangelo. Consequently, I am proud to own one of your cars and it will most likely be passed along to future generations of family.

The news today is that I have sold the Corvette. Thank you for taking the time to speak to the buyer. Also thanks to your “pre-owned – for sale” team for posting the ad and finding me a buyer. It certainly was fun owning a piece of Callaway history. I just told my daughter the news and she said, “Oh no – I loved that car”. Many thanks and best regards, – Howard 1987 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette |
Closing in on 18K miles on my 2018 and I can’t express to you how amazing and special both my 14-year-old son and I still feel every single time I get behind the wheel. (He actually puts his cellphone down and has the most amazing smile when I dial up the supercharger). Now that I’ve again begun commuting to downtown Manhattan (a virtual ghost town now), it still invigorates me every ride home, even at a crawl on the West Side Highway. I’ve done two track days at NJMP-Lightning and it was wonderful. You should be very proud of the joy you have brought to the lucky few ZO6 Callaway owners. – Howard 2018 Callaway Corvette SC757 |
The SC560 hasn’t needed any mechanical service for the seven years I have been fortunate to sit in the driver’s seat. Thanks again for everyone’s follow up. You guys are good! – Glen 2006 Callaway Corvette SC560 |
Saw it for sale online at 10am, bought it over the phone, jumped on a plane from Orlando to Atlanta, drove it home that night. No surprises, no disappointments! Excellent drivability, no impact on fuel economy, great for towing, awesome family hauler, and it hauls ass. – Benjamin 2018 Callaway Tahoe SC560 |

Gents: I received a very nice leather embossed certificate for #90-024 today. I am an enrolled Lakota Sioux and in our language I say Wopila Tanka. Tanka means Big, like in Tatanka, or Buffalo. Wopila means thanks. So a Big Thanks. BTW, I put the Dakota Aero in the NCM online car show. Cheers and good luck, – Casey 1990 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette #024 |
Reeves:
Hope all is well with you and your family during this time. The Corvette is amazing in every way, you built a strong car that handles as if it is on rails. You made it a supercar. Car is blazingly fast and really great looking with the hood and Double-D exhaust with talon suspension. Just a simple maintenance item from sitting was a fuel feed to date. Your group had the part over to me in a blink and it is still extremely reliable and all I have to do is drive it and wash it. Thank you for the well-built car. Now I am planning to give the treatment to one of my Camaros. Have a six speed ZL1 with no miles and a new 2019 SS 10 speed. When I saw the fact that you are building Callaway Camaros, I will have to have you work your magic on one. Very best regards, |
Hello Pete,
It’s up to 190,000 miles now. Still runs great. Just about time for a new one! Thanks, |

Thanks Reeves, I’m a child of the 80s and 90s so owning an AeroBody Callaway has always been a dream for me. My kids and wife love the car, and we will get pictures to you with the car soon. In the meantime, I have attached some current pics for you. Thanks for everything you have done for the Corvette community and I hope we can meet soon! Warm Regards, |
Yes, I still have my Callaway GTV6. I’ve had some restoration work done on it over the last few years at a vintage Alfa shop here in Houston, and it’s currently running great.
I was in high school in the early ’80s and was a bit car crazy, subscribing to all the car magazines. Upon seeing the article on the twin turbo GTV6 in Road & Track, I fell in love. Of course, there was no way to own one having just graduated from high school.
Fast-forward 17 years, after college, medical school, graduate school and residency. I landed my first job, which offered me a modest signing bonus. With money in my pocket, I remembered the Callaway Alfa and realized I might be able to actually afford one. 2002 was still the somewhat early days of e-commerce, but through old fashioned sifting through online Alfa communities, I found my car for sale by a seller in Los Angeles. The asking price was decent and the car was in reasonable shape apart from a few door dings and faded paint. So I bought it sight unseen and had it shipped to North Carolina, where I lived at the time. And I’ve had it ever since!

Car burned to the ground in garage last year, totaled. Garage fire started by a defective plastic power strip. Thanks to Callaway authenticity documentation, show trophies, etc., insurance paid $99,000 instead of their first offer of $50,000.
Top speed was 212 mph. Was stopped at 174 mph on I-15 near Las Vegas. Loved the car and planning on a new SC757 now.

What’s the best story about your Callaway?
I bought it and took delivery of it in ’14, first Stingray out of MacMulkin. I had it for 1200 miles and we were on the way to a charity event; I was in my ’12 Grand Sport and my dad was driving the ’14 Callaway. He called me in the car as he was behind me and told me to buy another ‘Vette because he wanted to buy the Callaway from me. Too funny. He took it in June of 2014.

One day, I was driving on the Garden State Parkway (NJ) and, as a car passed me, they gave me a thumbs up. I waived and said, “Thank you”. Little did I know that they slowed down on the Parkway and, as I drove past their car, the girl in the passengers seat hung out of her car to take a video of my Callaway going past them. I felt so proud.

At a stoplight, a gentleman pulls up next to me in a late 1990s 911 Turbo. I rev the engine. (What would you do?) He laughs and says, “Not going to happen, I don’t stand a chance. I know what you have.”
The light turned green and together we discovered he was right. He didn’t stand a chance at all. I love my Callaway.

What’s the best story about your Callaway?
I love driving it, top down, on nice summer nights. It is a “sleeper” because no one knows what it is by its exterior appearance. I have had multiple guys in Hondas, Mustangs, etc. think they will blow me off at a stoplight or something, only to be very surprised. (I just can’t help myself, it is too fun to see them embarrassed by a mere C4 Corvette.) The turbo rush in third gear is my favorite. What an amazing car for its era!

My wife and I have been Corvettes of Bakersfield members since 1997. The club puts on one of the largest West Coast Corvette shows in Laughlin, Nevada. Over 400 Corvettes from all over attend. Oh, what a blast to be around so many cars of your childhood dreams. But – you could be right in the middle of all of these beautiful “regular” Corvettes and if a Callaway would pull in, and I’ll kid you not, you could actually hear people say “Oh man, it’s a Callaway!” “Wish I could have one!” “Now there’s a mean machine!” “Those are The Baddest Corvettes around!” And as I grew to learn about America’s Greatest Sports Car, I realized they were all right!!! Never in a million years, did I ever think I could ever own one of the planet’s finest Corvettes – made by Callaway. But it happened.

Just returned from a 1600+ mile road trip from southern Colorado to Pahrump/Spring Mountain, NV and back. My Callaway SC757 performed flawlessly. After several laps in a stock ZO6, and many full throttle acceleration runs down the back straight… then hopping back into mine, the difference is stark and always impressive. I still don’t care about the “verbal dyno wars”. Maximum power with constant tinkering, questionable reliability and little or no warranty was never my goal.
Sitting in traffic in 100+º or many pulls at uh, “pretty legal” figures, coolant temps remained in consistent and acceptable ranges, never approaching level of even moderate concern.
My goal was significant power increases, a package with history and exclusivity, OEM-level fit and finish, enhanced cooling, reliability, warranty preservation and the peace of mind of driving anywhere across the country, anytime, with complete confidence. Mission Accomplished. Thank You Callaway Cars!

Thank you, Joanne, for sending me a copy of the actual window sticker for my 2012 Callaway! It has a copious amount of VERY useful information. I’m 74 years old and have owned several Corvettes over that time, starting with a red 1962, an orange 1971 convertible, and now the 2012 Callaway. They have all been great fun to drive; however, NONE OF THEM TOOK MY BREATH AWAY LIKE THE CALLAWAY. I do not mean just the power …
SHAZAM, THE ACCELERATION WILL LIGHT YOUR HAIR ON FIRE!!!
I think the Callaway just might be one of the most expressive, highly innovative, and wonderfully focused on significantly stirring the imagination of folks of ALL ages. It is a HOOT TO WATCH PEOPLE EXPRESS THEMSELVES AND, IF PARKED AT THE LOCAL ICE CREAM PARLOR LIKE WE DO, TO JUST LISTEN TO THE BANTER BETWEEN WOMEN AND MEN, YOUNG AND OLD, FLAUNT THEIR WIDELY VARYING OPINIONS ON HOW MY CAR, A HEARTSTOPPIN’, SEXYYYY, DREAM MACHINE, WAS CONCEIVED… AND SO YOU HAVE IT… WHO AM I TO BLOW AGAINST THE WIND?
THANKS AGAIN JOANNE.
